What is personal development?
What is Personal Development?
Personal development is about taking ownership of your mental, emotional,
physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being.
It requires you to invest in YOU! You might ask how do I invest in me?
First, you put down the phone. Make a commitment that you will start giving
yourself a break from your smart phone. Maybe you can start with not having it turned on for just one hour per day.
And then the second week, make it two hours per day. Your smart phone is making you dumb! How are you even in touch with yourself when you’re constantly looking at a piece of metal.
This is my number one goal for you, if you are to truly understand what personal development is and how it’s going to help you. You might ask, how is it going to help me?
Is it going to make you rich? Will it give you a better boyfriend or girlfriend? Will it help you to lose weight? Maybe .. maybe not. But that isn’t why we work on ourselves at the end of the day.
We work on ourselves because we want to be happy! Plain and simple. Happiness and freedom is our natural spiritual state.
Personal development, if done right, will be painful and at the same time liberating.
You will uncover things about yourself that were once hidden from you. Over time, you will feel like you’re waking up from a deep sleep.
But it won’t happen over night but if you stay the course, you will find not only yourself, but you will discover freedom.
Personal development is about spiritual growth. It’s about becoming a better person than you were the day before. It’s going to be messy and it’s going to be hard at times because there’s no immediate gain for you.
Nobody is going to come to your door yelling, “you get a car!”
But trust me when I tell you that it will be the absolute best decision of your life.
Personal development is about finding yourself and becoming one with God and everything under the Sun.
And when that happens for you, you will truly know the meaning of Love, Peace, and Freedom.
